I receive tons of comments stating “Alligator Gar are invasive.” They’re native to the U.S and have been swimming around for millions of years. Gar don’t wipe out game fish populations like people think. Studies have shown their diet is mostly rough fish like carp, drum and shad. Alligator Gar are one of the coolest, most misunderstood fish we have.
