Note for the future:
I have been enjoying playing or trying to play drums for a bunch of years. This past year, I started this little drum Duck’s Drum Shop.
Several have asked where the “Duck” comes from? My Grandfather always called me Duck. I never realized how much I loved being called that, until he was gone. I also have one cousin who has always and still does call me that. OK, let’s move on!
This past year, I have met some of the best people and made friends for life with many. The drumming community is an amazing fraternity and some sorority. I have met folks that play all genres of music and from many different parts of the country. The one common thing, they love drums and drumming.
I have had the opportunity to meet and make friends with drum builders, drum salesmen, touring drummers, weekend drummers, drum shop owners, etc. They all are amazing people and welcoming and always willing to share their knowledge and talents.
This little shop may never be the biggest or the best, but what this adventure has given in only one year is amazing. I am blessed to know you drum brothers and sisters and look forward to meeting and connecting with even more folks in the future.
Have a Blessed Day!
