👋🏼 Hey Bookworms!
You may have noticed we’ve been quiet this week. We have also been closed. (7/25-8/1)
We didn’t forget about you all, but we had a major event that we had to keep hush hush about.
💍 HOWEVER, the secret is out and our son and soon to be daughter in law are engaged!!!
Dave & I snuck down to join her family on their annual vacation (if she knew we were coming then she would have known for sure he was asking her on this trip) and we were lucky enough to be able to share in on their blessing 💙🩷
Thank you always for your patience with us & we look forward to seeing you soon!
*Yes we will be open tomorrow, Sunday 8/2 however we cannot promise to look like we’re happy about not being at the beach with our family 🤣🙃

We will be closed on July 4th - Due to parade road closures and family events- Please have a save and Happy 4th of July!!

We will be open Sunday 10-4

IMPORTANT PARADE INFORMATION!
The 68th annual parade will take place on the Fourth of July, and it steps off at 10 AM just west of the Stow Community Shopping Center (Target Plaza) and travels down Kent Road past Holy Family Church, and ends at Park Drive.

ROAD CLOSURES:
Kent Road (SR 59)
Kent Road will be closed from Marsh Road to McCormick Road in the Village of Silver Lake at the following estimated times:
• 7:15am to 8:30am
• 9:30am to 12:30pm

Darrow Road (SR 91)
Darrow Road will be closed from Graham Road to Pinehurst Road in the City of Munroe Falls at the following estimated times:
• 7:15am to 8:30am
• 9:30am to 12:30pm
Emergency vehicles will be the only through traffic allowed during the restricted periods. Some businesses in the area will remain open, and employees needing to access their workplaces should use Fishcreek Road to reach Kent Road (SR59).

PARADE ATTENDEES:
Furthermore, there will be NO ON-STREET PARKING permitted until 1 PM on Englewood Dr. from RT 59 to Oak Hill Rd, and Charring Cross Drive from RT 59 to Graham Rd, 6 AM until 1 PM on July 4, 2026.

🌌Late night gratitude post

It’s the little things that keep us going

🚧Construction blocking both ends of 91 has taken a toll on us we’re not going to lie.
📚However a customer from Texas came in today and found a way to get to us. Not only that but he said “Recommend me your guys’ “fun” read”. My mind went blank as in I felt like I’ve never read a book in my life. I went from trying to find one that I thought he would like to just letting the anxiety go and grabbed 3 books off the shelf that brought me joy. 2 were female focused and more depressing than fun, the other was genuinely a fun read that would apply to male and or female I felt. He was 100% open to reading a Kristin Hannah & a Taylor Jenkins Reid but the pick was “How to Sell a Haunted House” by Grady Hendrix.
No questions asked, he thanked us and gave it a new home.
🙇🏻‍♀️“Imposter syndrome” is something I have always struggled with no matter the situation but especially owning a used book store, like is this really my life? I get to live my dream?
✨The short answer is yes, and it’s because of You. You guys come in and build us up, support the heck out of us. Give us so many compliments that I cannot even begin to express our gratitude for what that means.

⛓️Dave is 99% on here posting and I hold back because of *overthinking*. My goal going forward is to post more to be transparent and share with you guys what this business is really like behind the scenes because we owe it to you for all the support you give us.
