Since opening in 2006 we have expanded and moved our storefront to a large location in the back of the building. If you are interested in hearing more information about trips, come into the store or call us. Big changes have come to Appalachian Outfitters. Manager Justin Mickens, Head Guide Bobby Hand, and Guide Matt Rhodes purchased Appalachian Outfitters in June of 2016. Justin will operate as O

wner/Manager, Bobby as Owner/Head Guide, and Matt as Owner/Guide. We are located in beautiful downtown Murphy, NC, just south of the confluence of the Valley River and Hiwassee River, where they join to form Lake Hiwassee.
