My home is in a public space where emergency responders often come to regroup. I thanked the engine this morning for helping our community. This group of firefighters lost the fight and the house they were protecting last night. The way he described how they were in control, chasing the fire, then the fire in an instant changed its course and chased them, gave me chills. Listen to your evac orders and thank a first responder for putting their life on the line for you.
