🌸 A New Chapter for The Poppy Barn 🌸

After a lot of thought, I’ve made the decision to close the storefront portion of The Poppy Barn.

This wasn’t an easy decision, but it’s one that feels right.

I’ve realized that the retail side of the flower business has taken me further and further away from the part I truly love — creating flowers. 🌷💐

I love designing. I love taking a vision, a color palette, a handful of beautiful blooms and turning them into something meaningful. I love weddings, special events, sympathy work, celebrations and all the moments where flowers get to be part of someone’s story.

Running a storefront has required so much time and energy that, somewhere along the way, my love for designing flowers started getting buried underneath the day-to-day demands of retail.

And I don’t want to lose that love.

So, The Poppy Barn is changing — not disappearing. 🌿

Moving forward, I’ll be focusing on the parts of this business that bring me the most joy:
✨ Floral design
✨ Weddings & events
✨ Sympathy flowers
✨ Special orders
✨ Custom floral pieces
✨ Floral workshops & creative experiences

This next chapter will look different, but I’m excited to see where it takes me.

Sometimes moving forward means letting go of what no longer fits so you can make room for what does. 💗

Thank you to everyone who has supported The Poppy Barn, walked through those doors, placed an order, trusted me with your wedding or special occasion, shared a post, recommended me to a friend, or simply cheered me on.

The flowers aren’t going anywhere. 🌸

🏫💛 A Little Time Away

The Poppy Barn will be closed August 21–30 and I will not be taking orders during this time.

I’ll be taking a little time away to help move my daughter back to college. 💕 These moments go by way too quickly, and I’m going to soak up every minute of this one!

Thank you so much for your patience and understanding while I take a few days to focus on family. I’ll be back and ready to create beautiful things for you after August 30! 🌸

I got to do something a little different today. I decorated a Celebration of Life at Sunflower Farms. They wanted a wildflower garden theme. It was simple but still gave a welcoming feel. 🌻🌾💐

Happy Father’s Day from The Poppy Barn! 💙

In a small town, dads are the ones coaching ball games, fixing what’s broken, helping neighbors, teaching life lessons, and quietly showing up when they’re needed most.

Today we celebrate all the fathers, grandfathers, stepdads, and father figures who make our community a better place. Thank you for your hard work, your strength, your kindness, and the love you give your families every day.
