We’ve been keeping a secret- a huge one. Four years ago this week we opened our doors for the first time. Today we're so proud to announce the beginning of our next forty years- Bolin Books: The Sequel, opening 2028.

Over the next months we’ll be deep in planning and preparation for a renovation and expansion that will more than double our floor space, add an event room, and secure our permanent home in Downtown Murray, Kentucky. None of this would be possible without you, and we can’t wait to show you what we have in store.

We’re so excited to reveal our final Fall Break project - the Seaton Family Room! Wesley’s middle name is Seaton in honor of his mom’s family. You’ll see the story of the Seaton family in a photo display as you enter the room. His grandparents Marlin and Jossie are a central part of the fabric of Bolin Books. Marlin attend Murray State and made several of the bookcases and chairs throughout the store. Jossie helped found the Calvert City Public Library and Wesley learned everything he knows about retail at her craft shows and yard sales.

The four Seaton girls - Rebecca, Wesley’s mom Evelyn, Marilyn, and June - are the bedrock of the family. We were honored to unveil and dedicate the Seaton Family Room today in celebration of Wesley’s Aunt Becca’s 75th birthday.

The Seaton Room is a fully remodeled children’s space where your own family will be able to play, color, make crafts, attend story times, and discover life-changing books.

We’re delighted to be able to share our family and their legacy with yours.
