As a professional custom rod builder, I believe the little details matter. That’s why I personally use Katch Standard and Mini Hook Keepers on ALL of my personal rods.

Traditional thread-wrapped hook keepers can wear out over time, and hooks, lures, and weights can scratch or damage a custom rod blank. Katch’s removable hook keepers offer a versatile alternative that can be moved between rods or removed whenever needed.

Now, I’m bringing that same option to my customers!

One of my FAVORITE events here in the Lowcountry! 🇺🇸⚓️

There’s just something special about seeing these wooden boats up close and getting to appreciate the incredible craftsmanship, time, and dedication that goes into every single one. The attention to detail is absolutely AMAZING, and you can see the pride and passion behind every build.

Down here in the Lowcountry, we have a deep-rooted connection to the water, and events like this are a reminder of the traditions, skills, and hardworking people who help keep that heritage alive. There’s nothing quite like seeing something built by hand, with patience, experience, and a true love for the craft.

As someone who appreciates handmade craftsmanship myself, I have a tremendous amount of respect for the builders who put their heart and soul into these boats. These are more than just boats — they’re floating pieces of art and a part of our coastal history. 🛥️

If you ever get the chance to experience this event in Georgetown, SC, I highly recommend it!
