Happy Labor day weekend and for the first time in years, I am not going into work today. Nothing pressing and I have other things pressing at home.
Everything we sell is made to metric measure, and in some cases the Measurements are quite close. As an example, the Kieninger PS movements are made with both 32mm and 36mm hand shafts. In addition, metric does not always translate well into English measures.
Our tie and pendulum non chiming quartz comes in 4,6,8,10,18, ad 21mm total hand shaft lengths
Our chiming quartz 17, 21, 27mm
Cuckoo dancing table heights 24,41, 51mm from the movement top to the rotating table.
Cuckoo pendulum length 19.1,23.5,28.5,40mm measured from the suspension post to the center of the stick.
Too many times people have given us information in English measurements and then claim we sent them the incorrect movement. We are not perfect, but we we no longer going to accept English measures in ordering.
Our website shows the various lengths for the time and pendulum and you can get it by tapping on the picture of the movements or hovering around. Or we can use the metric measurement for your ordering.

Make it a point to go to a hardware store and get two items if you do not already have them: a vernier caliper with digital readout, and a tape measure in metric. They are inexpensive and no professional should be without them.

I am sharing a photo of a clock movement we just did with our Zenith 1000 cleaner. It is not cheap at $55 per gallon, but it is waterless so no rust afterward guaranteed and it is the best on the market. Last a long time with good shelf life. No heavy ammonia smell. Match it with our Zenith 1001.
I see inquiries all time time on the message board about what is the “best” to use. What most people really mean is what is the cheapest.? One. Can think quality or think price, but not both. Contact us at [email protected]. Best shipping price packed 4 to a case is around $35 domestic delivery.

Butterworth Clocks is not just the exclusive distributor of these movements but also the official repair agent for these in the US. YES WE CAN STILL MAKE UP SOME 2 WEIGHT CUCKOO MOVEMENTS.
The price is $140 for thee we are making up special from the 3 weight units. Our stock on even the 3 weight ones is limited.
Order online the R25/41 for the 23.5cm ones and R25/41S for the 19.1cm ones and make a note to send the 2 weight version.
We are not accepting any more backorders for the 2 weight units [$95] at this time. Our allocation is already filled.
We realize that this is a significant price increase but most of your customers will pay it rather than getting nothing at all for months

I have always tried to keep things simple so we lowered the price on the time and pendulum to only $6 each to match that of the time only. Time only sweep second quartz:

Check your inventory. We are running low on some hand shaft lengths. Getting anything out of China is sketchy with tariffs always up in the air. Our last shipment we got hit with 100% tariff. We are already out of the TOSH6, but you can replace it with the TP6 at only $1 more. At only $6 for the time only ad $7 for the time and pendulum we have the best pricing and selection. This is for the silent sweep. Second that people love.

Cuckoo movement update: I did a hard count on the backorders thus far for the R25 2 wt 19cm unit and we can accept orders for 50 more pieces and that allocation is filled. We should receive that in early September. After that it will be months. We have no advisory on the shipping of the R25L which is the 23.5cm version and are not accepting backorders. Price $95 for either.

As stated in our earlier post, we can custom make both the R25 and the R25L for immediate shipment and the price for each is $140 plus shipping.

I apologize that we cannot offer better news, but we are at the mercy of the manufacturer in Germany.

Another reminder, if the order is paid by Zelle the shipping is a flat $15 to US destinations.

Creating different pendulum lengths: although we stock the most common pendulum lengths for all the modern German clocks, we can match nearly every pendulum length that exists if you have an unusual ex*****on. Typically the surcharge is only $30.
The pendulum length is determined by the combination of the minute, 4th, and escape wheels. By changing those we change the pendulum length.

Time and strike cuckoo movements 2 weight. We do not know when the next supply will arrive but we do have a solution. If your clock case is not too small, you can get the 3 train movement with the dancer table and remove the table. The price is $140.
The part numbers are as follows:
19.1 cm pendulum R25/41S
23.5cm pendulum R25/51

I realize this is more than the 2 weight but if your customer is in a hurry, this is an alternative.

We are accepting work on obsolete modern German movements from Hermle, Kieninger, and Urgos for our patented ButterBearing applications.

Shown is an example we just did of a 3 train unit. Prices for these are generally $450 and includes cleaning, ButterBearings in the lower pivot holes, polishing the pivots, and bushing where we feel needed in the upper train. It is does not include repair of broken or worn parts. Return shipping extra.
