A native of Detroit, Michigan, Lisa combined her classical training as a violinist at The University of Michigan School of Music and her eclectic musical influences to become an award-winning musician, playing violin and fiddle for Chet Atkins, Ray Stevens, and Elvis Presley. As part of the well-respected studio vocal group, The Cherry Sisters, and incombination with other background singers, Lisa has earned over 20 gold and platinum albums for her contributions to thousands of recordings by hundreds of artists including Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks, Johnny Cash, Randy Travis, Vince Gill, Dr.Hook, Mac Davis, England Dan and John Ford Coley, and many others. A respected songwriter, Lisa has had more than 50 songs recorded by artists such as Reba McEntire, Alan Jackson, Trisha Yearwood, and Charlie Daniels. Her co-written hit “Forty Hour Week” earned a Grammy nomination.
