I wanted to update everyone on the fundraiser I did for HAWS for Oreo. All bars have been sold and I will be donating $600 in the very near future. I’m afraid to go there in person just in case I bring home another kitten. I’ve been warned 😂. Along with the cash donation I will be donating 45 cans of cat food, cat carriers, and other toys. I wholeheartedly thank everyone for their participation. The cash donation will go in memory of Oreo Kinter. ❤️

As we navigate through life without our sweet Oreo, I wanted to make a special batch of soap in his honor and donate 100% of sales to a local pet shelter. The soap is made of goat’s milk, olive oil, coconut oil, kokum butter, mango seed butter, shea butter, avocado oil, and castor oil. I have used activated charcoal, spiraluna, and chlorella for the colors. He had the most beautiful green eyes. An essential oil blend of peppermint, spearmint, and vanilla are used for the scent. I’ve also made a few unscented. They have a special kitty stamp the front and will be available on April 17th and sell for $8. The donation in his memory will go to Humane Animal Welfare Society (HAWS) in Waukesha.

Happy 6 year Anniversary to Happy Valley Soaps by Lisa. Six years ago today I bravely made my first batch of soap. Not going to “lye” it was very scary. But - over 500 batches later I am still learning and growing. Thanks for all your support. 🛁

I’ve been busy at Happy Valley Soaps! 12 batches of soap in 3 days. Many of you ask how long it takes to make a batch of soap. When I say it’s all day process, I am not exaggerating. Some recipes are more complicated. I use about 7 different oils and butters along with water and lye. Many batches have water replacements such as beer, tea, coconut milk, goat’s milk, or carrot juice. Essential Oils and plant based colorants are carefully added Then it’s go time. After soap is poured into mold it has to sit about 36 hours. Once unmolded and cut it cures for about 5 weeks. Then I am able to label and it’s good to go.
