The three ladies at the helm of Gathered Goods have been working tirelessly planning, painting, meeting, designing, networking and oh yeah still gathering lots of GOODS for the store!

We are so thankful for all their hard work and we cannot wait to see it come together SOON (yes, we also feel like we have been saying that forever) but we promise it is happening!

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about why we celebrate other “competing” businesses. Seemed simple to me but it must have really struck a nerve. We received more comments and reactions than we have seen in a long time.
Please, don’t think we consider ourselves the Beyoncé of the junk world. Influencers we are not, nor do we aspire to be. But we do speak from our hearts and hope that resonates with you.
We make it a point to shop and eat local. And that is returned. These two cutie pies are Katie’s from Polka Dot Paisley. She popped in to browse and chat and we love that!
We can’t wait for Gathered Goods to open up behind Vintage Deluxe. Robert is even installing a door between the two shops to make both more accessible. We will do whatever we can to help them on their journey. If this is wrong we don’t wanna be right (uhhh possibly stole that from a song😂)
I know we are not Mayberry. There are definitely ups and downs and disagreements but one thing rings true for us. We can be better together, we are better together.

Got a question the other day which took me by surprise. “Why do you share other businesses on your page- aren’t you supposed to be focusing on your business?”
The simple answer- why would we not?
We live in this community. We are proud of this community. These business owners are investing in our community so why wouldn’t we celebrate them?!
We used to be a lonely little junk business in an old leaky building. But now, now we are a part of growth. Small businesses are coming downtown and we will do what ever we can to welcome them with open arms. Because it’s not about us, it’s about all of us… It’s just good business❤️
