Labor Day is tomorrow, so we wanted to drop a little nugget of information and would love to hear what you have planned for the day!

Before the long weekends, barbecues, and end-of-summer sales, Labor Day was born out of a high-stakes rebellion.

Imagine working 12 hours a day, 6 days a week in a suffocating, unsafe factory. There were no weekends. No overtime. No child labor laws.

On September 5, 1882, over 10,000 workers said "enough." They took an unpaid day off, risking instant firing and blacklisting, to march through the streets of New York City. Surrounded by police on horseback, they held up defiant banners reading: "Less Work and More Pay" and "Children in Schools, Not in Factories."

That day, they literally fought for the 8-hour workday, the protecton of our youth, and the concept of the weekend.

Labor Day isn't just a day off, it’s a monument to the regular people who risked their livelihoods so we could have ours.

This Monday, let’s honor the grit that built our modern work-life balance.

Tonight's unexpected visitor apparently missed the part where you're supposed to create an account before showing up for pickup. 😂

No reservation.
No security deposit.
No verified profile.
Didn't even message first.

⭐ Renter rating: pending.

After a brief disagreement over Turnr's prohibited-items policy, our tiny uninvited guest was safely escorted from the premises.

We're always looking for more unique things for people to rent locally...
But we're drawing the line at bats. 😂🦇
