As I was mowing the one day, a memory came back to me. I was probably 12-14ish, and I was working land with the Ford tractor (same one we use for hayrides). As you know, this land has lots of hills. I somehow got hung up on the hill and couldn't go any farther. Right around where the garden center currently sits, because my dad, at that time, was working as dairy manager at Dutchway (the old Dutchway where Ice Shack and Ace are) and would look out to check up on my progress. He saw my predicament and came and got the tractor going again.
As I was thinking on that particular memory, I thought that young kid certainly never saw into the future and thought someday I'm going to build a garden center here.
But life happens, and I want to thank you for your support of my business, and thank you for coming out for another fall fun weekend, even if it was a tad chilly.
Two more weekends of fall fun! Be sure to stop out if you haven't yet! Friday 4-9, and Saturday 10-8!

First of all, thank you so much for all the birthday wishes! It made the day extra special to hear from everyone! Thank you to my employees for the birthday post.
Today was the perfect day for a field trip to Jenne's Garden Center and Farm! Leah picked quite a few buckets of cut flowers today, because Saturday night looks like it will get very cold. So if you want to cut flowers, I'd suggest coming before Saturday night! We worked at doing a final weeding of the raspberries for the year. All the mums are down from field and are in the retail area.
Again, a big thank you to everyone that took time out of their day to wish me a happy birthday. I am very blessed to know each one of you! Thank you for the wishes and the support!

Columbus Day at Jenne's Garden Center and Farm. Hopefully it will clear off. Our activity area and mazes are open. We will not be able to offer hayrides due to the muddy field, but barrel train rides will be available. The animals are in their big pasture, but will still come up to be fed by their big gate.

We are ready for another round of Fall Fun, Friday 4-9, and Saturdays 10-8! Come out, grab a c***r, with friends and family, and see if you can find your way through the corn maze! Take a hayride and let the kids have fun on a barrel train ride. Race the rubber ducks and spin in the hamster wheel! Don't feel like doing the corn maze? We have straw maze for the kids! Slide down the slide, stop by the petting zoo, play in the sandbox and corn pit, sit down for a game of pumpkin checkers, and just have a great fall time at Jenne's Garden Center and Farm! We are located at 49 Martin Road, Myerstown PA 17067.
