For the first time EVER, we will be operating with reduced fall and winter hours this year. Starting October 1st, the bookshop will be open 10 - 5 Monday through Saturday, and 11-4 on Sundays. We will be hosting a few evening events, but in general expect the bookshop to close earlier than you are used to during the dark months. I know, I know- there are too many changes happening right now and you don't like it! But we have got to guard our resources, our motivation, our staff and most importantly our money as we continue to glide through the rest of this lease. We appreciate your continued support and encourage you to come and visit us during these reduced hours. Love you all!

Have you met Miss Midnight? We call her a shameless flirt. She loves all her adoring fans. Caramel is always right there on the front desk waiting to say hi, but Midnight is often sleeping the day away in a corner and we have to point her out! Even though the bookshop hasn’t exactly met or exceeded all the dreams we had for it, recently I have just been feeling an attitude of gratitude about all of the wonderful things that it has brought me. One of those great things is this beautiful lady, Susan. I didn’t tell her I was gonna post this, so I hope she is okay with me giving her a shoutout! Susan was one of my very first customers almost 5 years ago. She would come in every week and we would talk about books. Then one day she brought me a coffee and before you know it, we were meeting every single Wednesday morning before the store opened. She would show up (coffee in hand), just to hang out, share wisdom, and of course talk about books! I am grateful for you Susan. Love you- mean it! 🥰📚☕️ I’ll share some more of my bookshop happy thoughts over the next few months. Feel free to share your bookshop happy thoughts in the comments as well.

Let the changes begin! Starting next week, we will no longer be carrying any NEW books, and we will be exclusively selling USED books. You can always order NEW books from our website, and they will be sent directly to your house if you would like to support us that way. Otherwise hop on in for an incredible selection of affordable used books, 7 days a week. Over 90% of the used books in our store are $7 and under! The photo posted is all of the new books we have left in the store and to whittle them down we are hosting a buy 3 get 1 FREE sale over the Labor Day weekend! Buy 3 get 1 FREE applies to everything in the store- puzzles, journals, new books, used books, bookish gifts, crystal art, everything! The lowest priced item of the 4 will ring up free, so plan your stack accordingly. This would be a great opportunity to start thinking about Christmas gifts! Join us at the bookshop on Saturday, August 29th at 5pm as we gather to discuss Orson Scott Card's classic science fiction epic, Ender's Game.
