Diana at Pickin’ in Paradise was creative with color! For this pie safe, she mixed equal parts 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗹, 𝗜𝗻 𝗔 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗹𝗲, and 𝗢𝗵 𝗢𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 to create her own custom shade of Milk Paint — proof that you don’t have to stick to a single jar to get a one-of-a-kind finish. She sealed it with shellac first, then finished it off with Dark Oil Wax for that rich, aged look. One of the best things about milk paint is how easy it is to mix colors to create something totally your own!

This vintage Campfire Marshmallows tin had a lid painted an off light green that just didn’t fit its worn, rustic charm. Ginger Chick Rehab mixed Sweet Pickins Milk Paint in 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝗮𝗰𝗸 with a touch of 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝘆 to get the perfect custom match to the bottom of the tin. A good sanding and a coat of dark oil wax finished it off beautifully. One of the best things about milk paint — you can mix your own custom colors until you land on exactly the right shade.
