Vintage Persian Heriz Rug
Stunning vintage, handmade wool rug, believed to be an Iranian Heriz. The colors are absolutely breathtaking, featuring a highly sought-after combination of rich jewel tones and soft pastels, with deep reds, dramatic blues, and pops of pinks and greens. It is incredibly versatile and styles effortlessly with everything from traditional, bohemian, and modern eclectic to farmhouse interiors.
Details & Condition:
Size: 100 inches x 130 inches (approximately 8 feet 4 inches x 10 feet 10 inches).
Material: Hand-knotted wool.
Features: The fringe has been trimmed close, and the sides feature special back-binding for a clean, secure edge.
The Backstory: I recently purchased this and completely adore it, but unfortunately, it is just a bit too large for this space, and furniture placement would cover up my absolute favorite parts of the pattern.
Note on Scent: Because this is an authentic vintage wool piece, it carried an organic, aged wool scent when acquired. I have treated it thoroughly with natural UV sunlight exposure and a deep baking soda cleaning. There is a very mild, lingering natural scent if the room is completely closed up for a long stretch, which is quite typical for authentic vintage textiles that have spent decades stored or in transit!
