How much better could this industry be if more people remembered what this was really supposed to be about?

Because yes, we all want to win.
We want the banners.
The buckles.
The backdrop pictures.
The validation that the hard work paid off.

But at the end of the day, the greatest thing this industry produces was never meant to be livestock.

It’s people.

Young people who learn responsibility before most adults do.
Who learn how to lose gracefully.
How to work when they’re tired.
How to care for something besides themselves.
How to shake hands.
How to be humble.
How to keep showing up.

And the truth is, if we sacrifice those things in the pursuit of winning… then we missed the point completely.

The best stock show families aren’t just building champions in the ring. They’re building good humans outside of it too. 💙

If you’re calving right now, you better have some of these supplies on-hand!

A harsh reality in this cold weather, is that calves struggle to survive. Pictured are a few key products that are literally life savers for local farmers and ranchers! ❄️🐮

Here are some other helpful tips :

•Move the calf out of the wind and cold ground
•Dry the calf by rubbing it vigorously
•Put the calf in a warm, dry area
•Fill a tub with warm water and bathe the calf
•Keep the water running and recirculating
•Clean and disinfect the tub between each calf
•Continue bathing until the calf's temperature is over 100°F
•Feed the calf colostrum or a replacer
