The Pirate Festival is coming to Jockey's Ridge Crossing, this Wed and Thur 10am-4pm, with cannon demos and Scallywag school for the kids. Bring the whole crew upstairs and join the fun by dressing as pirates in an Old Time Photo.

At OBX Old Time Photos, sometimes we have a wait (not usually more than 1 hr) or some days we wait for hours anyone to come in. To keep things fair we don't take appts and it's 1st come 1st serve. So that you don't have to wait in line, we have a sign in sheet so you can sign in with your phone number and we will text you when we are ready for you. You can keep shopping in the other Jockey's Ridge Crossing shops until we message you. Isn't that great that you don't have to stand in line with other people's crying children? You'd think so, but lately many people sign in and then decide they don't want to wait. You'd think these folks would have the courtesy to come cross their name off the list, but no, not everyone is a decent human being these days. Jokes on them and unfortunately on us because everyone seems to come at the same time. We will be busy for 2 hours then have nothing for 2 hrs. So if you come in and it's busy sign in with you phone number (written legibly) and have a look around in one of the great shops near us like Kitty Hawk Kites, The Surf Shop, Life on a Sandbar, Sudden Light Records and Abbi's Teas or eat some Fudge or Ice cream. Slow down, you're on vacation, leave the time schedule at home.
