Sawdust projects usually start with wood, acrylic, filament or something I can stick in a printer.

This project started with about 10,000 bees and quickly grew. 😂🐝

If you follow our personal pages, you’ve already had a front-row seat to this adventure. But we’ve never actually introduced this part of our family over here.

So here she is…

HIVE 66. 🍯🐝

Our little backyard apiary in West Nanticoke.

We started keeping bees this year simply because we thought it would be fun.

Spoiler: it is.

It’s also stressful, fascinating, slightly addictive and has resulted in us paying WAY too much attention to every yellow flower growing along the side of the road. 😂

And now we’re getting ready for our first little honey harvest.

There won’t be much — just whatever the girls can spare — but that’s exactly how we want to start.

Okay, this one was basically a requirement. 😂✨

We LOVE Dollywood, I’ve always been a Dolly fan (her music, sure… but really everything she stood for), and my grandfather may have been an even bigger one. I swear that man was waiting at the pearly gates, looking around like, “Alright… where’s Dolly?” 😂🤍

Now the kids are walking around singing Jolene and 9 to 5, and I feel like my work here is done.

So this one HAD to make its way into the Sawdust Christmas lineup. ✨

But when you’re a small business that makes Christmas orders one at a time, by hand, Christmas starts a little earlier around here.

Sometimes it starts with a piece of locally sourced wood and an idea. 🔨

This challenge coin holder was built completely by hand and measures 21.75" x 10 7/8". The back is built higher than the front, giving the rows a tiered look so you can actually see the coins throughout the display.

And because we make them ourselves, there’s no one-size-fits-all.
