I guess when it’s written on a presentation plaque and you see photos on social media of yourself receiving your award for Nantucket Small Business of the Year, it’s official.

Rainy days on Nantucket mean extra posts. We have this very pretty Vintage Nantucket Purse from Martin Brown. In beautiful like-new condition with ivory scallop shells on oak top and signature handle. Its measures 6.75” H x 91/4” L x 7 1/4” W. Plenty of room for phone, wallet, sunglasses.

First is this great Antique Schooner Weathervane, circa 1920-40's. Stylish and very well built. Original paint. 24" H x 33.5" L

Tony Sarg 1926 Map of Nantucket Island in original red frame. Printed on cardboard, so perhaps a 1930's striking. 18" H x 20 1/2"W.

Two paintings by Kevin Paulsen: "Island of Memory Recalled" 24' H x 36" W. and "What a Moth Might See (Blue Ship). 24" H x 36" W.

A selection of items including a Pair of Sandwich Glass Clambroth and Opalescent Blue Dolphin Candlesticks, circa 1830's.

Sold 🔴 Just arrived and something to brighten this rainy day. Vintage Gerry Brown Nantucket Purse from 1992 with Scrimshaw of Wild Flowers in a Nantucket Basket by Nantucket scrimshander Michael Vienneau. The purse is in like-new condition and signed by Brown on the inside and Vienneau on scrimshaw plaque. The purse measures 6.75” H x 8” L x 6 1/4” W. Plenty of room for your phone, glasses and wallet. The purse has the signature Brown handle that fits so wonderfully in your hand and so very comfortable to carry. So pretty.

Sold 🔴 The bad news is that this purse sold within minutes of posting it on our website, the good news is that over the coming weeks we will be posting more Nantucket purses and baskets.

This kidney shaped Nantucket purse by Nantucket basket maker, Trish Anderson from 1985 is in gorgeous “like new”condition and has a wonderful scrimshawed top of shells signed CPB (Cindy Boynton).

It’s a perfect size (it fits an iPhone!) and is large enough for day time but petite enough for evening.

And being kidney shaped with leather strap, it fits your hip and is super comfortable to wear. A special thank you to our niece, Rachel for modelling it so well 🥰.

Sold. 🛑 We didn’t get a chance to post this Jose Reyes Nantucket purse here before it sold. We still wanted to share it with you.

Circa 1955, it’s a beautiful oval woven basket with a cane weave on rattan staves, carved swing handle, scrimshaw carved whale tooth peg and s***m whale (love the tiny teeth!) by Aletha Macy on mahogany top. It is signed on the bottom Made In Nantucket, Jose Formoso Reyes, with image of the island. Measures: 6 3/4” High x 7 3/4” in Long x 6 1/2 in deep.

The purse is in beautiful condition, with a gorgeous warm patina.
