Fall Transition at Lake Berryessa: We Found the Fish at 60 Feet!

Fall is here at Berryessa 🍂🎣 We found fish around 60 feet, followed them with the electronics and ended up with kings, trout and bass. Not a bad way to spend a Monday!

Some days the used-gear counter gets interesting. 😂

A vintage Fenwick with a graphite handle, a 12'9" Daiwa surf rod with flip-up guides, and one seriously clean Daiwa reel.

Which one are you grabbing?

Okay… has anybody tried THIS with pile worms? 👀

My buddy Carlos recommended wrapping a few smaller pile worms together in spawn net mesh, almost like a roe sack. I put three worms in the mesh, then added another pile worm normally on the hook with a Bait Button.

Definitely not my usual setup—but it makes one heck of a juicy bait.

Incoming tide. Full moon. Let’s see what happens. 🎣

Anyone have luck fishing pile worms this way? Or do you have your own weird-but-effective pile worm rig?
