This 1927 high school letter patch for basketball is a wonderful piece of family history, and we designed the frame to let the story take center stage. The patch is sewn directly to an acid-free mat for secure, archival support, with an air barrier between the artwork and the glass.

We chose Museum Glass for "amazing clarity", anti-glare performance, and UV filtering, then finished it with a simple rustic wood-tone frame. A custom engraved brass nameplate completes the piece, adding context and making sure its story is remembered.

Pieces like this deserve to be preserved—and displayed with pride.

Two original colored pencil pieces. Two completely different personalities. Two custom framing designs created to bring out what makes each one special.

"Steadfast” features rich autumn leaves, so we chose neutral earth-toned matting and a clean brown frame that quietly reinforces the natural colors and textures of the artwork.

For “Sunflowers", we chose a light 8-ply top mat (we love its thick beveled edge) with a subtle minty-green reveal, paired with a warm silver frame covered in tiny dots. Those delicate dots beautifully echo the tiny sunflower seeds in the artwork—a small detail that makes the entire design feel connected.

Both pieces are full of personality, but the framing doesn't compete with the artwork. Instead, the colors, textures, and details continue what each piece is already doing and draw your attention right back to the art.

We just passed the one-year anniversary of our opening weekend in the new Studio! 🎉

It’s hard to believe that a full year has passed since we opened the doors and welcomed our customers into the space we spent so many months dreaming about, designing, and building.

Over the past year, the Studio has been filled with artwork, creative ideas, design conversations, custom projects, and so many wonderful customers.

We’ve printed, framed, engraved, mounted, restored, delivered, and installed all kinds of meaningful pieces—and we’ve loved every minute of it.

Thank you to everyone who has visited us, trusted us with your artwork and memories, sent friends our way, and supported us through this exciting chapter.

We enjoyed a much-anticipated family vacation to Kentucky Lake this week—a traditional extended family destination that took a 15-year break until this year.

Here are just some of our favorite scenic shots, although they don't begin to capture the sights, sounds, and smells that made the trip so special.

The week was filled with family (8 adults and 7 kids), boating, water activities, shared meals, lots of laughter, and plenty of memory making.

It was so good to be back. ❤️

One year ago, we were moving finished pieces, framing components, and inventory into our new Studio and finding a place for everything in our brand-new storage bins.

Today, we love how much we can make use of the vertical space created by our exposed ceilings, keeping materials organized and accessible while leaving plenty of room to work.

Every project has its place—from finished pieces waiting for pickup to the components that go into creating them. A year later, we're still appreciating all the thought that went into designing a Studio that works as beautifully as it looks.

We recently framed this 9" × 12" floral print for a client's black-and-white bathroom. Rather than adding a mat, we chose a substantial 3" silver ornate frame with subtle black flecks that picks up the tones already present in the artwork and the room.

The frame adds character and elegance without introducing a competing style. That's an important part of our design approach: find a frame that continues what the artwork is already doing, rather than creating something that fights for attention.

Some artwork calls for a design that's every bit as graceful as the piece itself.

We recently framed S. Cromwell's Dancing Jar Ladies with an elegant combination of materials chosen to complement its whimsical character. An ivory 8-ply top mat adds depth, while a slim reveal of a gray-green mat subtly echoes the soft colors in the artwork.

The black frame, finished with a textured silver wash, beautifully highlights the delicate ink lines without overpowering them. The result is light, refined, and full of personality—perfectly suited to these joyful dancing figures.
