Back at it this Friday and Saturday! We’re kicking off September by offering 15% OFF all inventory (any new products left in stock), 50% OFF specials on the clearance table (constantly adding new items), and LOTS of RANDOM deals (fixtures, grab bags, supplies, etc).

Inventory is moving quickly, and we’re immensely thankful for all the support we’ve experienced the last couple of weekends!

I want to chat with you all before it’s over! Stop by and say hi this weekend if you can, get a deal on some early holiday shopping and other random stuff (we have everything from gymnastics equipment to playset accessories, to home furnishings).

Bonus: So today (9/3) is World Beard Day. To celebrate I found a somewhat recent picture of me (with my 3 awesome brothers) where my beard was probably at its most unruly and ridiculous state in my adult life for your enjoyment.

I wanted to post this picture of my family because my wife was the reason we were able to take a chance on opening Thingamabaubles in the first place. Her stable career and incredibly hard work ethic is why we were able to do this at all. My daughter has been the ongoing inspiration, as I’ve told many customers over the years, for opening a toy store. The things that she has loved as a baby, toddler, kiddo, and now pr***en have all influenced what we’ve loved as products. This picture is a very accurate depiction of us. I’m being a goof, my wife is giving me a loving glance, and my daughter is following directions and posing for the camera…

It’s been an emotional week to say the least! I’m so thankful for the kind words and conversations I’ve had. Happy tears, sad tears. Busy moments, quiet moments. I take them all in, and appreciate them for different reasons. I’m a sensitive person, and I feel it all very deeply.

Getting to the point, life is moving so fast right now and lots of things are changing quickly so I’m making an important list of things below to make sure I’m communicating everything to you as clearly as I possibly can:

- A new opportunity has presented itself to me, and because of that the store hours are now changing DRASTICALLY.

- Thingamabaubles will now be open ONLY on Friday & Saturday from 10am-5pm moving forward. That means we are CLOSED from Sunday-Thursday.

- The painting and birthday areas are both CLOSED.

- Lots of fixtures and displays for sale are selling FAST.

- Lots of great deals on random stuff are selling FAST.

- You should stop by SOON and check it out.

- Gift Certificates are NO LONGER FOR SALE, but current ones are still accepted until we close. Please use them!

- Loyalty credit is NO LONGER APPLIED, but current loyalty credit is still active. Please use it!

- All sales are NOW FINAL with NO RETURNS accepted.

- Teachers, faculty, staff, and homeschoolers STILL GET 10% OFF everything as we’ve done for 5 years strong. Mention who you are at before checkout!

This week marks our 5th anniversary as a business! We’re excited to have made it this far, and are thankful for everyone that made it possible.

Unfortunately, it also comes with some bittersweet news. After much thought and prayer, we’ve decided to close Thingamabaubles at the end of this year.

We’re going to try our best to still make the rest of the year as awesome as we can while also consolidating inventory and wrapping things up at the same time.

This will mean ongoing clearance deals, selling displays and supplies and demos, and also general sales as we get closer to the end of year.

All that being said, we will be turning off commenting on posts to focus on the other things we need to do. Altered store hours might also happen too.

Thank you for 5 years of support! We’ve been blessed in so many ways. Help us go out on a high note as we finish up the rest of this year!

Plenty going on this week!!! I wanted to touch on a few highlights for our store specifically:

- We’re staying open late on Thursday until 7pm!

- We’ll have a good selection of clearance items Thursday-Saturday!

- We’ll have 10% off everything else from Thursday-Saturday when you mention either "Embrace the Pace Days" or "Experience Nappanee” at checkout. Don’t forget to mention it!

- We’ll have sidewalk sales on Saturday from 10am-3pm, which will basically be our clearance items... but outside!

From Thursday-Saturday a combination of fun events is happening around town with Embrace the Pace Days & Experience Nappanee coinciding on the same weekend (garage sales, live music, raffles, great food, car show, sidewalk sales, vendor booths, retail deals). That being said, check out the social media pages for Visit Nappanee & Nappanee Chamber of Commerce for more info on all that they have going on!

Realizing you're at the park, or the pool, or the lake without something to play catch with is sad… and if you’re sad, then I’m sad. The good news is that Waboba makes it easy to be happy! The Moon Ball, Wingman, Tailball, and Airlyft are all perfect and portable companions for a summertime round of catch wherever you find yourself :)

Visit Nappanee is bringing Candy Land to Nappanee this Saturday 6/13 from 10am-4pm!

Thingamabaubles will be the Licorice Forest, and we’ll have free candy bags, random giveaways, and 10% OFF EVERYTHING in store :)

At each stop you go to, you’ll get a Candy Land board game piece. Collect and assemble those pieces and turn them into wherever your last stop is. Those pieces will determine how far you make it on the Candy Land board game, and will give you chances to win more prizes!

This is a completely FREE community event with 15 participating businesses. Lots of chances to take some cute photos and enjoy the town!

Freebies and giveaways are limited, so we’ll do our best until we run out!

Storytime on the Go this Friday with Maggie at 10am, here at Thingamabaubles! She’ll be reading Good Morning Main Street and afterwards we’ll do a fun craft together :)
