La Contessa had a pretty bad fall yesterday and was rushed to the hospital while I battled Friday traffic out of the city. Thank God, she checked out okay.

Today, we traded worry for gratitude, spending the day napping in the Newport sunshine and indulging in the beauty of summer’s blooms.

Sometimes the greatest luxury is simply a quiet day together.

Four flights and nearly 2,000 kilometers in three days.

Busy. Growing. Building. Delivering.

As a female entrepreneur, I pride myself on showing up for everyone: clients, team, family, and the countless promises I make along the way.

This morning in Rapallo, with Portofino in the distance, I almost skipped the cappuccino, rushed through breakfast, and boarded another flight. I almost told my nephew that we couldn’t spend the day jumping off rocks into the Mediterranean like I had promised.

Then I had a thought:

What if this were my last opportunity to spend the day with him?

So I picked up the phone, cancelled my flight, and checked out.

And checked into the Rapallo Bristol Beach Club at Bagni Bristol Rapallo with Lorenzo V.

Sdrai. Ombrellone. Pranzetto. Sapori di Mare.

Time is Luxury. Make the memories.
