Available immediately: 22-23 rank, 2-manual pipe organ featuring 19th century slider chests and similar era pipework. This organ is believe to been assembled in the middle or second half of the 20th century by a local technician. Restoration, including rewiring to code, is required, though many components are in excellent condition requiring less work than one might typically expect. Smaller spec instruments could be built on new chests using the vintage pipework.

Over the past few weeks, Greene Pipe Organ Company, LLC Pipe Organ Company, LLC has been working with Nickerson Pipe Organ Service to prepare the stunning 1919 IV/78 Austin Organ at Melrose Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hall for the October 1, 7pm concert. The instrument remains tonally and mechanically unaltered. Though the organ requires more work to be 100% playable, it sounds absolutely thrilling from the 32' Double Diapason and 32' Contra Bombarde to the barage of 8' stops behind effective expression to the lovely imitative orchestral stops. This is likely the first time in decades that the organ has been used in concert.
