I went foraging yesterday with the kids and we found beautiful plantain plants growing up all over the place.
We collected enough to make our infused oils for healing salves and teas. But we also were able to feed some to our pretty hens.
This batch will dry and in about a month I will have several jars of dry plantain leaf ,flower, and roots. I make a tea from the roots for my hens in fall and winter to give them an immunity boost and nutrients to rebuild after a season of egg laying.
