Get ready for Marsha Blackburn’s FIRST public town hall with Tennesseans since 2017 probably! Maybe… The good news is that if she doesn’t show up, which is highly unlikely, the panel they’ve built as a backup is FIRE 😈
A MARSHA BLACKBURN TOWN HALL — With or Without Marsha Blackburn
Senator Marsha Blackburn has not met with constituents in Tennessee in an open, public forum since 2017. Indivisible Progressive Nashville invited her months ago to help organize a town hall, but never heard back. They’ve notified her three different ways that they now have a venue and a date — one that falls within the Senate’s recess — and all they got was a form letter from her office.
If Senator Blackburn doesn’t show, an experienced, knowledgeable panel will be ready to dig into the ramifications of legislation she’s voted for — like the “Big Beautiful Bill” — and the policy choices facing Tennessee. On the panel: Michael Eric Dyson, Justin Kanew, Jorge Zetina, and Kiran Sreepada.
