We are willing in autumn by bringing back Saturday Morning Storytime! (Woohoo!) Beloved bookseller and local educator, Shannon, will be on the front porch to read The Skeleton and the Cat. Then, she'll lead the kiddos in an easy craft. Join us at 10:30am for a free storytime.

We are beyond excited to announce that New York Times Best-Selling Author, Jen Calonita, will be at our shop on Saturday, September 19, at 5:30pm for a night of Taylor Swift Trivia, author conversation, and book signing. Jen's new book, The Taylors: Fearless, is the second in her acclaimed Taylors series. You don't want to miss this!

She'll be in conversation with the incomparable lyndsay rush sanders of Lyndsay Rush fame. We can't wait to hear these two talk about all things writing and be just a bit much.

Take them on the trip…listen to their interests…encourage them to follow their dreams…make those memories!

Over the weekend my little family and I took a quick trip to Nashville, TN! Our main reason for this trip was to take our little girl to meet her favorite author, Kay Davault, at a book signing and live drawing event she was doing at Fairytales Bookstore. What an amazing opportunity it was for her to meet her, show her the drawings she has done of the character’s in Kay’s books, and to hear her talk about being an author and watch her draw characters right in front of us! We always encourage Maggie to dream big, always follow your heart and dreams, and that you can be anything you want to be and do anything you set your mind and heart to! I think doing these types of things, going to these events, and letting her see and hear how people she admires get started in their careers is so important. Kay was absolutely amazing! She is so talented as well…did you know she does everything herself?!? The drawings, coloring, shading, writing…ALL of it! She was so sweet, down to earth, happy, and genuinely took time to talk to Maggie and look at all of her drawings. She even took pictures of them and the one Maggie gave to her and posted it on her Instagram page. She also took time for a picture with Maggie and gifted her one of her drawings of Maggie’s favorite characters that she did that day! Iris! Maggie was over the moon with excitement! We went right to a Hobby Lobby to get a frame so her drawing from Kay wouldn’t get damaged on our drive home. This was such an amazing experience and we are so grateful we were able to take her! Thank you, Kay Davault and Fairytales Bookstore, for doing this event and we cannot wait to come back again! We loved every second! My mama heart is so full! 🙏🏻💕
