There is no way to fully express how thankful I am for W**d Patch Music Company and for all of you. We had an amazing 18 years in Brown County and the 9 years that I spent here as an owner had such a profound impact on me personally. I am so proud of the community that we created and all that we have done. I love that we created a safe space for musicians of all ability levels. I loved getting to help you all find the perfect instrument. I loved getting to teach you and help you feel inspired, providing group workshops and gentle jam spaces, and watching you (or your children) grow into confident musicians. It is time for the next chapter, but this one has been pretty special. Thank you all for supporting W**d Patch Music Company for all these years – we will miss you and this community dearly.

So happy to be teaching this awesome group of young people! Looking forward to seeing what all we can accomplish over the next 8 weeks!

OUR FIRST YOUTH LESSON was this week on Tuesday, after much planning and coordination. We are so pleased to have 6 of our Brown County youth involved in this program, designed to help nurture along musical interests.

We have 3 aspiring guitar students, 1 electric guitar, 1 banjo, and 1 dulcimer. It's a unique group with a great mix of personalities.

THANK YOU for providing your support by taking part in our Amplify Nashville shows. This is the fundraising effort that allows us to underwrite these lessons and instruments to offer these youth a great opportunity that they might not otherwise have.

Special thanks to Kristin at W**dpatch for working with us to procure the instruments and coordinating the group lessons to create this Amplify Youth program.

Dear W**d Patch family, friends, and customers over the years...

We are saddened to announce that after much consideration, we will be closing W**d Patch Music Company. Sunday, July 6th will be the last day we are open.

This is an announcement I hoped I’d never have to make – no small business owner ever does. We’ve had a very difficult 5 months. Tourism in Brown County has seen a massive decline, weather has been relentless (with record-breaking snow this winter, floods in the spring, and tornadoes already this summer) and the general state of the economy (rising costs, shrinking margins, and product availability issues) has been wearing on us.

He has been with us for about 3 years and we will miss him dearly but we wish him well as heads off to new adventures out of state with his family! Stop by W**d Patch today to wish him well!
