Christiana Afotey graduated in 2015 from Nashville State Community College with an Associate’s in Business Administration. She is the Founder and CEO of Threads by Dreads LLC. Christiana is a visionary sustainable fashion designer. she revolutionizes the industry through a unique blend of style and social impact, seamlessly weaving West African cultural arts into her designs. With an unparalleled commitment to community empowerment, she teaches aspiring artists, preserving and celebrating the Ghanaian heritage for future generations. Christiana also gives back to her community serving on the board of Cheekwood’s Black Art Bash, presented business credit + raising capital options at Center for Non-Profit Management to startup business owners, teaching Ghanaian cultural arts to students and adults, serving as a creative arts mentor to two Vanderbilt students, and has established the Threads by Dreads Foundation where she offers scholarships to students in Ghana. Christiana is dedicated to promoting the importance of self-care by prioritizing physical, emotional, and mental health.
