Nashville Walking History Tour

Enjoy this educational and entertaining walking tour through downtown Nashville. It will give you an overview of Nashville's development from its early settlement to what you see here today. It will highlight the interesting people in the town's history and point out many landmarks you might walk by without even noticing. These are slow motion videos showing the difference between fluorescent and phosphorescence. All 3 gems are fluorescent but only the first 2 are phosphorescence. The first 2 are mangano calcite and honey calcite, the blue glowing one is flourite. Fluorescence is when something glows under light, in this case uv light, and phosphorescence is when it continues to glow after the light source is removed.

Our Nutcracker, a gift from a local artist Brandy, is made from minerals. The eyes are ammonites, the nose, soapstonr and green calcite, teeth -selenite, buttons-desert rose, there are minerals everywhere. Help us name him:) The winner will get a free bag of mining rough.

We are having a Nutcracker naming contest. Most liked comment will win a large mining bag and and give the Nutcracker a forever name. The town has 10 nutcrackers made by local artist, Bandy made ours, try and find them all.
