Sometimes the simplest designs are the best designs. This Krautster II by is a single-cut solid body guitar with a PAF-style humbucker in the bridge and a soapbar P90 in the neck. This uncommon combo offers a huge variety of classic tones, and does everything from rock to jazz. This is a great one folks!

We’ve had the pleasure of having a few of Jim Merrill’s guitars in the shop, and they’ve always been fantastic instruments. The Woodbridge is Merrill’s version of a fingerstyle-centric instrument, and the result is a guitar that’s rooted in tradition, while still retaining a distinctive style. This example was built with a Cedar top and Indian Rosewood back and sides, making for a lush and articulate instrument perfect for the solo fingerstyle player.
It also includes a K&K Trinity pickup system.

Here’s another beautiful guitar by Isaac Stroupe of . This 00 12-fret MinervaTone is inspired by the rare custom shop guitars built by Regal in the 1930s under the name MarvelTone. This guitar features an Adirondack Spruce top, Black Walnut back and sides, and is finished in a vintage-inspired varnish.

PRS are pioneers of the modern electric guitar, and this Hollowbody II is the perfect example of that fact. Built with a gorgeous carved Maple top and Mahogany back and sides, the guitar comes equipped with McCarty archtop humbuckers and onboard PRS/LR Baggs piezo pickups, which provide both electric and acoustic tones.

Isaac Stroupe is a young luthier building beautiful vintage-inspired guitars under the moniker . This example is based on the legendary Gibson L-00, a guitar beloved by blues and folk players for its punchiness and articulation. Isaac finishes all of his instruments with varnish he makes himself, giving them a very authentic vintage look, and allowing the wood to breathe and resonate. DM for more info!

David Eichelbaum builds beautiful custom guitars in his Ojai, California workshop. this Super Grand Concert Cutaway is a beautiful example of his work in both tone and craftsmanship.

This guitar sports a master grade Sitka Spruce top bound in Brazilian Rosewood, and gorgeous Acacia Koa back and sides. Mr Eichelbaum aims to brace his guitars very lightly without compromising structural integrity, making this instrument light, lively, and responsive. DM if interested!

This 2015 Gibson Les Paul Historic 59 reissue is as close as you can get to the vintage original. With period-correct materials and meticulous aging by the venerable Tom Murphy, this guitar has the feel and look of a well-loved golden age instrument. This Les Paul, made of roasted Mahogany and Maple, and with full hide glue construction, is surprisingly lightweight, and the Custom Buckers have the clarity and growl PAF style pickups are revered for.

It’s always a good day when a new Kimble mandolin arrives at the shop! This lovely model J two-point mandolin features Sugar Maple back and sides, a red Spruce top, a 16” radiused fretboard with 1-3/32s nut, nickel-plated James tailpiece, and Rubner tuning machines. Most importantly, this mandolin sounded amazing from the first moment we heard it. The tone is full with great chop, yet it sounds as if it has already been played for a good while. It pushes the air nicely. We are smitten with it, and we think you will be too. DM for more info and the price.
