I thought I was opening a crystal shop.

I knew there would be crystals, candles, books, beautiful things, and people coming in to find something special.

What I didn’t expect was the stories.

The conversations that start over a crystal.
The person who comes in alone and ends up talking to someone for half an hour.
The people who came for one event and somehow became regulars.
The friendships that started here.

That’s probably my favorite part of Southern Crystal Company.

The stuff on the shelves is beautiful, but it’s the people who make this place what it is 🤍

And honestly, I’m still amazed that this is what we’re creating here in Old Hickory.

One of the things we hear most often is:

“I’ve never done anything like this before…”

And honestly, that’s okay 🤍

You don’t need to understand sound healing before you try it. You don’t need a meditation practice. You don’t need to know what you’re “supposed” to experience.

You can just come in curious and give yourself an hour to slow down.

That’s one of the things we love about the experiences we host at Southern Crystal Company. There’s always room to try something new, ask questions, and figure out what feels good to you.

There’s something really nice about giving yourself permission to slow down before you actually need to.

This Thursday, Taylor is gathering us for a New Moon in Virgo Sound Bath + Ritual, with time to settle in, set intentions, reflect, and simply be still for a little while.

Virgo energy is often associated with getting grounded, creating stability, and paying attention to what actually supports us. So this feels like a beautiful time to pause and ask: What do I want to make more space for?

You’ll spend the hour resting with crystal singing bowls, Tibetan bowls, chimes, gong, and drums, surrounded by a cozy, intentional space.

Mats, blankets + bolsters are provided. Bring an extra pillow, eye mask, or cozy layer if you want. 🤍

There’s something about Old Hickory that’s hard to explain until you spend some time here.

It still has that small-town feeling where you start recognizing the faces around you. Where local businesses know each other. Where you can grab coffee, wander around, run into someone you know, and end up staying longer than you planned.

And then there’s the lake. 🌿

We feel really lucky to have planted Southern Crystal Company here and to be building a space that brings together so many things we love: crystals, yoga, sound, healing, and most importantly, people.

Old Hickory is home. And we’re pretty grateful for this little corner of Nashville. 🤍
