To everything there is a season,

A time for every purpose under heaven
Ecclesiastes 3:1

Dear Friends of Logos,

I have very sad news to share. Our precious shop dog, Charlotte, died Saturday morning. Charlotte was the "official" Logos Bookstore greeter for 12 years. She loved coming to the store and being part of the activity there. Our son, Joseph, found Charlotte in a cage on the side of the road. There was a dead sibling in the cage with her. Joseph brought her home and she became a very important part of our family life. We started taking Charlotte to Logos with us immediately. She quickly became a favorite with many customers who looked for her when coming in the door. Charlotte was a gift God gave us for a time and we will miss her terribly.
At church this morning we sang this song by Matt and Beth Redman,

Blessed Be Your Name
In the land that is plentiful
Where Your streams of abundance flow
Blessed be Your name

Blessed Be Your name
When I'm found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed Be Your name

Every blessing You pour out, I'll
Turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

Blessed be Your name
When the sun's shining down on me
When the world's 'all as it should be'
Blessed be Your name

Blessed be Your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name

Every blessing You pour out I'll
Turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I'll say
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord blessed be Your name

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands

Revelation 7:9

Dear Friends of Logos

We are always excited to invite you to a booksigning, but this one speaks so closely to our hearts. Many of you know that we were missionaries in Papua New Guinea years ago. We have always had a desire to see the Gospel spread to every corner of the world and hope that the books and Bibles sold at Logos will in a small way help to accomplish that goal.
Our friend Fouad Masri will be at Logos on Saturday, March 25th from 11:00-2:00 pm to share with you the wonderful work of Crescent Project and to sign his new book,
Sharing Jesus with Muslims: A Step-By-Step Guide.
Come hear this informative and encouraging author.
Grace & Peace
Ken and Cindy Najar

"Who better than Fouad Masri to give the Church a tutorial on reaching Muslims for Jesus Christ? I can think of no one. In this book, Brother Fouad lets you into his world, his years of sharing his life and love for the Lord Jesus Christ with countless Muslim men and women. As you walk with him, you too will gain confidence to obey our Lord’s commission to make disciples of all nations, including the Muslim ones."

– Dr. David Garrison
Missionary author, A Wind in the House of Islam

Dear Friends

Logos will be closed tomorrow for New Year's Day. We will open again Tuesday for regular business hours:
10:00-6:00 Mon- Sat

“Of all persons the Christian should be best prepared for whatever the New Year brings. He has dealt with life at its source. In Christ he has disposed of a thousand enemies that other men must face alone and unprepared. He can face his tomorrow cheerful and unafraid because yesterday he turned his feet into the ways of peace and today he lives in God. The man who has made God his dwelling place will always have a safe habitation.” Aiden Wilson Tozer

He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. Colossians 1:`13-14

Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

He rules the world with truth and grace,
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders, wonders, of His love.

Joy to the World, the Lord is come!

Dear Friends of Logos

Randall Morgan will be at Logos tomorrow,
Dec 17th from 11-2 to
talk about and sign his new book
Heart Warrior: An Aortic Dissection, a High-Profile Journey, and a Mended Life
Randall has told his story in order to encourage others in their Christian walk as they go through trials and tribulations, growing in faith and relying on God's grace in the journey.

Heart Warrior chronicles Randall Morgan's remarkable rise in the country music business in Nashville, to an international ministry of music and hope, to having one of the most unique heart surgeries-an aortic dissection-that became an advertising hit docu-drama. Randall has a unique gift to touch people and inspire them with hope and faith. This is a compelling story of how the heart he freely shares with others became the organ that needed a miracle. On the edge of death, Randall emerges with a narrative of God's faithfulness switching back and forth from his diagnosis in Budapest, and his personal journey of Faith-from religion to relationship-leads us to the very heart of God.

Dear Friends of Logos

Come tomorrow to support and encourage our local authors!

From 11-2, Michael and Sarah Dowling will be at Logos to talk about their amazing book, Frog's Rainy Day story and Other Fables. They contrast the wisdom of our culture (the world) with the Wisdom of the Word in the fables, making this book a great way to teach children to think critically about the world around them.
One of the 6 best Christian picture books of the 21st century!
WORLD Magazine

From 4-6, Trevin Wax will be at Logos.
Trevin is vice president of research and resource development at the North American Mission Board and a visiting professor at Cedarville University. A former missionary to Romania, Trevin is a regular columnist at The Gospel Coalition and has contributed to The Washington Post, Religion News Service, World, and Christianity Today, which named him one of 33 millennials shaping the next generation of evangelicals. He is a founding editor of The Gospel Project, and the author of multiple books, including his new book, The Thrill of Orthodoxy.
