Despite the pandemic, the shop has been doing just fine. I have noticed however, a change in clientele. I have a lot more folks who are working from home and are learning to play, which is great... but I have far less of the gigging/touring musicians who had made a chunk of their income from playing.

If you’re a customer who’s hurting financially from a lack of gigs, and your guitar needs some love, (and you don’t have rich parents who support you), send me a text. I’ll try to give a couple free setups or repairs each month. I’ll keep it between us, consider it a trade for bringing me joy when cool shows used to happen, and the venue probably didn’t pay you enough anyway

This beautiful 1966 Martin D-18 got a new, custom made pickguard. The original pickguards on some old guitars have a tendency to shrink overtime, often on Martins they cause the top to crack under the tension. Luckily this one came in before the dreaded crack occurred. It’s a true pleasure to work on an instrument so fine as this, thanks for trusting my shop with your vintage guitars!

This guitar was donated to the shop. After a setup and a fresh set of strings I donated it to the community center in my neighborhood. If you have a broken guitar that’s not worth fixing, or a guitar you no longer use, I am happy to accept them to fix up and donate. Tuners, straps, guitar lesson books, etc could be recycled and reused if you’re done with them. Donations accepted at the shop whenever! Happy Friday!
