It’s me, I’m Jess. Currently also Poplar Point’s social media gal. I lead our design collaborations, product development, and in-house production. Unlike my counterpart (husband), Landen, I’m much more comfortable behind the scenes than in front of the camera.
What I love most about my work is the opportunity to blend my passion for fiber arts and making things by hand with my formal training in Interior Architecture and digital design. That intersection of traditional craftsmanship and modern design is at the heart of everything I create.
My vision for Poplar Point is to champion and support traditional maker trades that have steadily declined over the past several decades. I believe people are inherently creative and that there is deep value in working with our hands. I also believe our cities are stronger when they have vibrant, locally rooted economies built around artists, craftspeople, and makers. Through Poplar Point, I hope to play a small part in preserving those skills and helping them thrive for future generations.
