This is not a scanner, We are a single channel two way radio group that covers primary Nassau County NY we announce Fire,Mva pins traumas, Shootings, any good incidents going on in the area.
This group is open to anyone to join get information from if your a News organization especially would be a great source you don’t need to be a member of a FD or EMS to be involved if you listen to the scanners and radios around Nassau County and want to put out information or just listen in.

2-WAY RADIO VERSION OF THOSE GROUPME EMERGENCY SERVICE GROUPS

Think of this radio group as the equivalency or greater of those GroupMe groups many of you are members of, except we maintain a greater level of professionalism 100% of the time. Instead of typing on your smartphone about incidents that occur in Nassau County, we announce them over our encrypted MotoTRBO UHF radio system

For those of you who are unsure and skeptical, the Motorola radios we use for our system are not just solely designed for digital use. You may use the analog part of the radio for your own department's/agency's channels, given you have the necessary permissions from your department to do so of course. As long as the radio is in the UHF spectrum (450-512 MHz), you should not have a problem, unless you are looking for one in the VHF spectrum. Many of the radios hold 1000 channels, some hold 128 channels, and a few hold 32 channels. MotoTRBO radios give you the capability to be able to scan between our encrypted digital channels and those analog channels your department/agency may use. The radios can scan a total of 16 channels at a time.

Just to clarify we have had a-lot of interest. The new phone app is a subscription based app strictly just a two way live link into our Buff repeater covering all of Nassau County NY fire ems pd anything good going on in area and large incidents outside area. This is not a scanner any ? Please PM for the info to get on board.

Nassau Central Radio has upgraded our radio coverage to worldwide. Wanna no what’s going on in your hometown while your vacationing in Florida we got you covered. Don’t wanna carry your radio while out shopping in the stores now you don’t need to have a radio at all to be a member but still able to hear and transmit info still. We have added a phone app link into our system as long as you have cellular or WiFi your connected to Nassau Central Radio. Contact us to get on board now. This is a paid subscription
