TEN TREES BOOKS Ten Trees Books is an independently owned and operated bookstore founded by a Natick family and located in the heart of in historic Natick Center.

Ten Trees Books is a general-interest bookstore that offers books and gifts for all ages and genres. Ten Trees Books is Natick’s community bookstore. Locally owned and independently operated, the bookstore was founded by a Natick (Mom) resident with a love of the town and its vision for the future. Ten Trees Books mission is to serve the community by offering a warm, interesting environment where

residents can pursue their literary interests. We foster diversity and will be uniquely focused on providing all people access to read whatever they choose. We will curate a book and gift selection that is compelling for our audience and reshape our collection as we learn more about our customers. Ten Trees Books hopes to build community by providing a space for people to gather and make connections with their neighbors. We will host a variety of events including author signings, story times, a mixture of book clubs by genre and age, and various community functions. Our store is located in the heart of Natick Center, one of the state’s designated Cultural Districts. Natick pursued this designation in an effort to cultivate a lively and diverse downtown neighborhood. Ten Trees Books is eager to contribute. The name Ten Trees Books was chosen because it connects us to Natick Town Common. In 2020 the town regrettably had to replace ten diseased Ash Trees and chose a variety of tree species selected for their diversity and ability to make the town center even more beautiful. We believe this symbolizes new beginnings, spiritual growth, and diversity. All a part of our lovely town's culture.

Last week’s book release celebration for “Pinball: A Quest For Mastery”, by Natick author Tasker Smith, was a nice reminder of how beautiful it is when a community comes together.

We were honored Tasker chose Ten Trees Books for his book launch, sharing his passion for pinball with our community. “Pinball: A Quest For Mastery”is a wonderful book for pinball enthusiasts and newcomers to the game.

The celebration was so popular that we outgrew our capacity, so we moved the event to our neighbors at TCAN (The Center for the Arts Natick). TCAN is such a special part of Natick, bringing our community together through music, theater, film, fine arts, comedy, and the arts. Their commitment to creativity, connection, and local culture is an integral part of of the Natick Center Cultural District, making a more vibrant center for everyone! We are incredibly grateful to partner with TCAN, an organization that shares our love of stories, imagination and building community. The perfect partner to celebrate Tasker and his book release.

Join us for a tree-themed storytime and treats at Ten Trees Books with authors Maria Gianferrari (Author of Just One Oak) & Michelle Cusolito (Author of Rooted in Wonder, Celebrating the World’s National Trees) on Saturday, 8/15 at 11:00 a.m. at Ten Trees Books!

Maria Gianferrari will share her book “Just One Oak”. An oak tree is so much more than meets the eye. From tiny fungi to mighty mammals, this amazing tree contains a whole world.For insects and birds, the oak’s leaves, branches, and bark are a home. For bears and squirrels, the thousands of acorns the oak produces are a nutritious superfood. Owls, deer, foxes, and many more creatures are drawn to the rich and healthy environment an oak creates. Because of a single oak tree, its many neighbors flourish.

Michelle Cusolito will share her book, “Rooted in Wonder, Celebrating the World’s National Trees”. Get to know the tremendous trees that shape our world! Meet 12 national trees and uncover WILD facts, ANCIENT legends, and the INCREDIBLE creatures hidden in their leaves! Travel the world and find out how each country honors, protects, and proudly celebrates their national tree. Each of these trees have superpowers, secrets, and stories to tell. All are rooted in wonder and waiting to be discovered.

To mark the occasion Mary, who loves making bread, tried a new focaccia recipe from Lacey Ostermann's book, 3 Doughs 60 Recipes. She reports that it was delicious and easy.
