Día de los mu***os 💀. A time to honor and remember our loved ones who have passed. It’s a Mexican tradition that includes an altar filled with pictures, sweets, candles, flowers and more. In Guatemala we celebrate Día de Los Santos (all Saints Day). Families go to the gravesite, eat fiambre,(a dish filled with cold veggies and meats) and sit together to share stories about people they miss. Here at home, we have a place where we put pictures, light a candle and put out a glass of water. When we were younger my mami would tell us that if we see air bubbles in the water, it meant that our loved ones came to visit and had some water for their long journey. These are the traditions that I love and will carry with me. If you want to learn more about Día de Los mu***os, we have books for kids, candles for your alter or stop by and we can to chat! ***os
