Re-fret on a Nashville Tele for my friend ! He’s a monster player and his frets and fingerboard were in bad shape. New frets and a bone nut are chef’s kiss. Also, if your truss rod nut seems stripped…it might just be filled with rock n roll muck, ha ha.

Hey Friends!

I’m busting into the New Year with a renewed sense of purpose and passion for Hutch & Sons.

If you haven’t heard yet, I’ve made some major life changes, including transitioning out of Pitbull Audio to build out my own shop and will be working out of my house in City Heights.

Pitbull Audio will continue to be a great resource for me personally, my shop, as well as the music community here in SD. Venturing out on my own will allow for a better rhythm of life for me; balancing guitar work, live sound engineering, and being a single dad of four kiddos.

The new shop is almost fully up and running and will be finished out by the end of the week. I’m excited for this new chapter of H&S and making changes for the good and me and my family.

Thank you to everyone who has reached out with encouraging words and continued support in entrusting me with your instruments and gear.

Pedalboard wire up for my good friend, the illustrious .

We swapped out the old solderless patch cables for custom Mogami/Square plug soldered cables. (Josh requested a little slack on the overdrive section so he swap out pedals as needed.)

Moved the MorningStar ML10X Matrix switcher to under the board allowing for more real estate up top. As well as upgraded the power supplies to Strymon to handle higher power draw pedals.

Josh is a monster player and amazing human bean. A true honor and joy to be working on his gear for the past 8+ years…and to call him a friend.

HSS conversion for .brennan on his beloved TMG Dover. Slightly routed the body for a humbucker in the bridge position. New custom pickguard from WD Music. Suhr Thornbucker in the bridge and Suhr V63+ in the middle and neck. Fresh new harness with CTS pots and a Jupiter tone cap.

Turned out rad. And DJ is stoked. Which is what matters most! 🔥

1980 Les Paul Custom in for a little restoration for . This guitar was passed down after his dad scored it from a pawn shop for dirt cheap in the 80’s.

The hardware was pretty oxidized and funky, so we replaced the bridge and tailpiece with Gibson parts. New Hipshot tuners with the universal mounting plates so I didn’t have to plug or drill new holes.

I installed a new set of Classic 57’s. Cleaned out the pots and the toggle switch and everything is sounding great. How about that harness cover! Did a full re-fret with Jescar wire. And made new bone nut with unbleached bone to match the vintage aesthetic.

I tried to keep what I could original and not permanently modify the body in away. My aim is always to honor the instrument the best I can. Especially on vintage gear. And how rad is that chainsaw case!?

Major upgrades on this Squier Jazzmaster. New neck, locking tuners, water slide decal, Novak pickups, new CTS pots and Jupiter tone cap, and a fresh set up. Sounds fantastic, plays like butter, and the new neck looks rad.

What a beauty from ! Nick and Max are such craftsmen I’m always honored I get to be part of final assembly.

Recycled skate deck top, neck, fingerboard inlays, and pickup covers. Korina body with dog hair grain fill. McNelly pickups. Mastery Vibrato. Purrr 😍!
