One thing I’ve learned as my work has grown is that not everyone will celebrate your success.
Some people will quietly support you.
Some will become loyal clients, students, and friends.
And some will watch from the sidelines, frustrated by everything you achieve, instead of tending to their own hearths & hearts.
The interesting thing about resentment is that it still requires attention.
When someone is genuinely happy, fulfilled, and aligned with their true path, they usually aren’t spending their time obsessing over someone else’s.
So when people become angry about your success, your visibility, your growth, your happiness, or the support you receive from your community, that’s rarely about you.
That’s usually information about where they are in their own journey. Everyone has their own shadow to face & their own healing to do.
When you choose to stand fully in your gifts, your calling, and your purpose, you stop being universally liked. And that’s okay.
Authority does not require permission & Humility does not require self abandonment.
Visibility attracts admiration and criticism in equal measure.
The oak does not cease its growth because another tree covets its place in the forest.
The sun does not apologize for shining.
And a queen does not abandon her throne because someone is uncomfortable seeing her seated upon it.
