🌽🥒🍅 FARMERS MARKET QUESTION TIME! 🍅🥒🌽

Y’all, I need your honest opinions!

Do we want to give the Neely Farmers Market or Leakesville Farmers Market ONE more try this Saturday? If so, would you rather see it from 9 AM - 12 PM or 4 PM - 6 PM?

I truly love doing this and bringing something fun and positive to our community, but I’ll be honest—it takes a lot of time, preparation, and money to make these markets happen. Vendors spend days growing, making, baking, canning, and preparing for market day.

If we decide to do it this Saturday, I need your feedback quickly so I can get flyers made and spread the word!

🌧️☔ Mother Nature has other plans for us this weekend!

While we’re definitely thankful for the rain and the blessing it brings to our gardens and farms, we have decided not to have the Farmers Market this Saturday evening.

Don’t worry—we’ll be back soon! 🌱🍅🥒

If you’re looking for fresh vegetables, feel free to send me a message. I still have plenty of fresh garden goodies available and would be happy to help you out!

No matter where this journey takes us, I just want to be honest… my heart is still in Neely. ❤️

When I started this market, it was never just about selling vegetables, lemonade, jelly, or handmade items. It was about community. It was about neighbors gathering together, kids laughing, people visiting, and bringing a little life and excitement back home. That dream started in Neely, and a big piece of my heart never left there. 🌻

I am so thankful for everyone who has supported us in Leakesville, encouraged us, shared posts, showed up, and believed in this idea. Every single bit of support means more than you know. 💛

But lately I’ve found myself wondering if maybe we should try to bring the market back to Neely somehow. Maybe that’s where it truly belongs. Maybe that’s where we can grow something really special together. 🌱

I would truly love honest opinions from the community. If we moved the market back to Neely, would you come? Would you support it? Would vendors be interested? I really want to hear from YOU because this market has always been for the community first. ❤️

No matter what happens, I’m not giving up on this dream. I believe small towns deserve good things too. ✨

I’m genuinely curious and would love some honest feedback from the community. 💛

For those of you who have hosted successful events in Leakesville or Greene County… what does it take to make them successful? What helps bring people out and get support?

I’m not posting this to complain or be negative at all — I truly want to learn and understand. I’m trying my best to create something fun, positive, and community-centered for our county, and I know these things take time and support to grow.

Today we had only a couple vendors and just a handful of patrons, and I’ll admit it was discouraging. I hear people say all the time, “Why can’t Leakesville be like Lucedale?” and honestly, community support is a huge part of the answer.

I believe Greene County deserves exciting things too. 🌻

So tell me:
✨ What kinds of events would YOU come to?
✨ What times/days work best?
✨ What would make you stop by and support local vendors?

I’m listening, learning, and not giving up yet. 💚

✨ Little Ladies Lemonade is serving up ice cold sweet tea, lemonade and flavored drinks with the cutest setup ever!
🥕 The Garden Jar has tables FULL of fresh veggies, potatoes, green beans, collards, cucumbers and more straight from the garden!
🪵 We’ve also got beautiful handmade wooden crafts, crosses, birdhouses and unique handmade items you won’t find anywhere else!

This is exactly what community is about — supporting local families, small businesses and neighbors while having a great time together! ☀️
