It's that time! We’re beginning to look for an experienced Store Manager who understands that great hospitality is about more than running a store. It’s about how people feel when they walk through the door.

You’ll lead the day-to-day operations of The Roost and help bring our vision to life. Working closely with the owners, who will be actively involved in the business, you’ll take ownership of the floor, lead and develop our team, maintain our standards, and create an exceptional experience for every guest.

You’ll also become one of the faces of The Roost Farm Shop & W**e Bar. We’re looking for someone who wants to know our regulars by name, welcome visitors to Nelson County, recommend a great local w**e or gourmet product, and genuinely enjoys connecting guests with the farms, makers, w**eries, and businesses that make this area special.

We’re looking for 8–10 years of hospitality experience, including leadership or management experience, ideally in a gourmet market, specialty retail, w**ery, tasting room, or similar hospitality environment. Experience with food ordering, inventory, and managing staff is required. Weekend work is required.

We're thrilled to announce that we've purchased the historic 1932 packing shed on Route 151, home to Tuckahoe Antiques for many years!

We're honored to restore and renovate this historic landmark as it begins its next chapter as The Roost Farm Shop & W**e Bar. We hope to welcome you by the end of 2026, and we're pleased to share that Tuckahoe Antiques will continue operations on the basement level.

Inspired by Virginia w**e country, The Roost will serve as a gateway to discovering Nelson County, connecting locals and visitors with the incredible farmers, growers, makers, artists, w**eries, breweries, and specialty food producers that make this region so special.

Our vision is simple: Gather. Sip. Shop. Stay Awhile.

Enjoy self-serve Virginia w**es on tap, local craft b**r and c***r, fresh locally sourced meats, handcrafted charcuterie boards, gourmet prepared foods, artisan cheeses, fresh baked breads, fresh flowers, gifts, antiques, and locally made products, all while celebrating the people and stories behind them. Whether you're gathering with friends, packing a picnic, or exploring Nelson County, our offerings are perfect to enjoy onsite or take to-go.
