Joe Humphrey was in college at the time and was looking for a way to support his new and growing family. Joe opened his business first selling Nutrena feeds and livestock medicine and it quickly evolved from t
here. Joe quickly realized the need in the area for good quality material to build livestock corrals out of. Seeing the large need, Joe began selling drill pipe, sucker rod, cable, guardrail and conveyer belting in all sizes. Joe was the first company in Utah to offer used conveyer belting to farmers and ranchers in the west. Mountain Country Equipment prides itself in being an environmentally friendly “green” company because most of the products sold are reused. As Mountain Country Equipment has grown to one of the west's largest providers of quality used farm and ranch equipment, we have expanded our inventory to a full line of fencing accessories; from pipe guides to cable clips to Tarter livestock equipment and now farming equipment parts. On top of this, Mountain Country Equipment sells a large amount of used farm equipment. In the spring of 2014, Mountain Country Equipment held our first consignment auction with an auction schedule every spring thereafter, being held the 2nd Saturday in March. The 2014 consignment auction was a huge success with a huge turn out of buyers looking for great deals on pre-owned farm and ranch equipment.
