We make clothing with a sense of responsibility, to protect the abundant environment and the careful hands that weave our threads. The Arizen style is about dressing the true form of your etheric body, with apparel that feels good

to the soul. Clothing that exudes beauty, radiance and power. Arizen was born out of a desire to give women pure physical freedom and self-expression. Regardless of age, belief or where you call home - Arizen allows the woman inside to speak her truth and exude the blissful state within. Slow fashion, made consciously, ethically, sustainably.

Why we choose to work with silk...? Silk has so many wonderful qualities, it has the strongest tensile strength of any fibre, it has the ability to absorb moisture in a way that would keep your skin hydrated, and keep you cool at the same time. It also has an insulating ability to keep you warm when it's cool out, being a perfect fabric for year round wear. Sleeping in or on silk has so many benefits for your skin including reducing wrinkles, and therefore is considered an anti aging tool. And of course, not to mention, it's hypo allergenic....While those are some great facts about silk... we are definitely interested in it for it's supposed energetic and spiritual properties as well.

Silk is said to be used as an energetic shield, it can protect you against negative energies and also has the ability to protect against electro magnetic frequencies. It is believed in Vedic philosophies to be a fiber that can hold high vibrational energy and therefore is good for meditation, ceremonies, and rituals. 🙏

There is always going to be the moral and ethical question on silkworms being sacrificed for the fibers they create, and while we are all about non-violence and mindfulness, at this time it's still the only way to extract silk (hopefully new processes will be engineered soon). Silk worms don't even exist in the wild anymore, they've been bred for silk production for over 5,000 years, they wouldn't be able to survive without humans at this point. ↣ Versatility...a word derived from latin meaning "turning, revolving, moving, able to adapt or be adapted to many different functions or activities".

↣ It's how we like to view our inspirations for design. A woman has many facets to her, she is strong, she is vulnerable, she is determined and willing, yet compassionate and gentle. She has the ability to work in a garden, up keep a home, raise children, and then step out into the world and still maintain her poise, and at least elegantly appear as though she is keeping it all together. Meanwhile there is a myriad of things she's interested in and projects floating around in her mind that have her juggling the act of life with grace. It is the beauty of the feminine essence that has us out here trying to understand in what cloth or what design to dress her in.

Slowness of the Process

Arizen is inspired by the beauty of slowness - the candid flow of time depicted by nature and the local life in Bali. This is the soul of ethical fashion - protecting the wellness of artisans and makers by allowing them to create at their own pace and space. It is our dream that every woman who wears our clothes is reminded of the beautiful slow process involved in the making of her favorite wrap, tank top, dress, or belt by Arizen. Through this, she feels deeply connected, centered, and confident.
