This sunflower finally bloomed its so tall and has been growing for months, its so beautiful to me,im thinking its a cross, i grew paredovik sunflower in this spot last year from a free seed packet. Its a big yellow variety. The evening sun variety has been reseeding itself around my house for the past 5 years. That variety has alot of reds and browns. The color of this flower looks like evening sun but the size and petal shape looks like paredovik.

Here's a little visual of how I keep my flowers fresh while selling. I wrap the stems with a layer of paper towel. Then place in a disposable piping bag with some water and a little flower food. Secure with one mini rubberband. Then put a flower wrapping over it and secure with another mini rubberband..

Shirley poppies, poppies are not known to have a long vase life. The Shirley poppy is known to have a little longer vase life, when I harvest them I burn the bottoms of the stems before placing in water, the blooms are still delicate but when the petals fall in a few days ,they reveal the cute little seed pods.
