Did you know the "Dog Days of Summer" have absolutely nothing to do with panting pups????

It actually goes back to Ancient Greece! The ancients noticed the hottest days of the year lined up with the rising of Sirius—the "Dog Star"—in the Orion constellation.

While the Greeks blamed the star for the sweltering heat, we have a much better way to handle it at the New Albany Sugar Shoppe!

FROM DREAMING TO DOING: My Latest Candy Shop Tour!

Long before I built my dream candy shop, I spent my vacations adding little tours of candy stores into every trip. Now that I have my own shop, I still love doing it!

I just got back from Las Vegas, where I checked out all the candy shops on the Strip.
Here is my official Vegas roundup:

I Love Sugar – This one was my absolute favorite! It is an independent candy store with an amazing Candy Bar upstairs serving up candy-inspired drinks. Too cool!
