I been thinking ... 🤔

and, my mom contributed to this thought. Ive been pouring for a while, and as we know, I can get bored. I get bored teaching 🫣 and I get bored doing 🫣 the same things over and over again. And I think its why I am hitting this wall of .... not really sure what to do.

I cant help myself of the boredom..I am 100% wired this way, its how ive made it this far. You like to learn something new. Do something you haven't done before and the new wears off and you seriously find yourself asking why you did all you did for that specific thing.

Its a wild ride for sure, to fully submerging yourself into the sea and then to fully throw yourself on land, and it might as well be the highest mountain top away from sea.... 😬😬

During one of the summer deck days, this topic came up. I expressed my boredom for the wave .. and my mom said, screw the singular classes then, well offer them as you see fit, but what about a workshop. Like a resin COURSE. 🤔

A course where we can get into both land and sea. Push your creative boundaires and explore more techniques. A course that would take place over 4 to 6 weeks. Where your project is not just that one wave, but depths of sea.

So....

With all due respect. If I state the shop is open, it is open. If the door is closed while I am here being open. It must mean 1 of 2 things.

1. I needed to p*e. I am human.

2. I needed to eat. I am human.

If the door is closed and latched.

Even if I forget to pop a sign on, because let's face it, I have 100 things on my mind at all times...

It does not mean proceed to open the door.
The level of entitled is crazy and im addressing it for this year. The door shut, means no one is in the room at this time for 1 of 2 reasons.

Thanks for understanding and stop trying to rip my lock off my door then act like I did you a disservice for requiring a bathroom break or lunch. ✌️

Once upon a time.....

Before the first floor hall was what it is now. Ive been part of this mill. To see the growth. The change. And the inbetween, its impressive.

Are there things still to tackle, of course.

But, there's a lobby, there's energy. There is a community. There is a hub for folks who are trying to create life. There is so much more than what meets the eye.

It takes walks of all kinds to make this place operate. It is a building that is an escape for people. A cool place to walk. It houses curiosities in every corner. It peaks interest and amazes the locals, every week.

The community that has been built within the walls, is an ocean of beings 😎

This season, remember that the kilburn mill has so much to offer. It has grown in many depths, and the only way for it to continue to grow, is if you jump in the ocean and have a little swim.

Cheers. We are coming on 3 solid years 💪

I woke up today with an entirely different type of energy. Not one thats like mad or sad. Or happy. Just a complacent energy of where I am.

I checked in with andraya, we worked out our fall and winter schedules. Making adjustments to what was to what will be. And, that felt good. This whole summer ive been like meh about class, today....
I felt ready to go 😎

I havent said it enough lately. The energy had felt heavy over the last few months. There have been a lot of changes over the last few months, and some for the better. Theres a whole new vibe (😉) happening in the first floor hallway, and its really great 👌

Im working on my schedule, as is Andraya Lee 😊

This season, jessie is using square to book classes. If youve shopped with us, youve earned points! Those points can be converted into coupons and used for class. 😎

My schedule will be extremely limited until january. This season i am taking my own classes to enahnce my knowledge in other areas of "crafting" if you will. We are expanding into the world of creativity with carpentry!

Starting this September and proceeding through december, ill be in carpentry 101 ... learning basics of power tools and constructing a project.

So, now you all know 😊

Its not that I dont want to do classes. I dont want to over extend myself again and cause a massive stage of burnout where I sit for 2 months contemplating my life 🫠🤣

If youre interested in class with me, watch for some events to pop up today. Ill be working on my schedule for a return to pouring and seaglassn and the things.

Thanks for hanging thru my summer sabbatical. Its been really enjoyable soaking up the sun, the vibes, and feeling my life out.
