I saw this idea from , and it got me thinking...

If Whaling City Collective had a love language, it would be this:

Turning "I've never heard of them" into "I shop there all the time."

There's nothing better than introducing someone to a local shop, artist, or maker they've never noticed before... and then watching them become a regular customer.

Running a small business means juggling a hundred things at once. Between creating, ordering supplies, answering messages, posting on social media, bookkeeping, and helping customers, it sometimes feels like there are endless tabs open... both on the computer and in our heads.

We found a key in the back parking lot of the Kilburn Mill.

If you think it might be yours, stop by today before 5:00 PM to claim it.

If it isn't claimed by then, we'll place it in the Kilburn Mill office drop box with a note so the office can help reunite it with its owner tomorrow morning.

Supporting local has never looked so good! 🛍️

I just picked up this awesome handmade unisex crossbody bag from .LCA, better known around the Kilburn Mill as E.F. Designs, in New Bedford, Massachusetts. The craftsmanship is fantastic, and it's already become my go-to bag.

A few other local makers made an appearance too:

We had a great time seeing at The Vault in Downtown New Bedford on July 9! 😂🇵🇹

The comedy show was hilarious from start to finish, and it was wonderful to see so many people out supporting local entertainment. Thanks for a fantastic night of laughs!

🎉 The Whaling City Collective Community Festival is already coming together!

You can apply to be a vendor now at: WhalingCityCollective.com

We're excited to share that we already have 6 amazing vendors signed up, with more applications continuing to come in! Thank you to everyone who has already shown interest in being part of this exciting community event.

If you've been thinking about becoming a vendor, now is the perfect time to apply! Spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and we'd love to welcome more artists, makers, crafters, small businesses, food vendors, nonprofits, and local organizations.

Once we reach around 10 vendors, we'll begin introducing each of them with individual Vendor Spotlights so you can get to know the incredible businesses that will be joining us before the festival!

Downtown New Bedford keeps seeing Micah sprinting into work like she’s racing the clock every day, but there’s more to it than just bad timing.

At , Micah isn’t just heading into her shift… she’s secretly been swinging through the city as Spider-Man after hours. 🕷️

We fell in love with this venue the moment we got married here... and now we're so excited to be bringing our First Annual Whaling City Collective Community Festival to the Holy Ghost Grounds in Dartmouth! ❤️

Join us on Saturday, September 12 for a day celebrating local makers, artists, small businesses, live entertainment, family fun, and our amazing community.

🎪 We're currently looking for 30 vendors to join us!
